She was quick to respond via text, she was affordable and very communicative during the jobs. When she ran into situations where she needed my input/decision, she texted me photos of the problem along with multiple options with pros/cons for me to choose.
Unbeknownst to me the bathroom floor sits at a slight angle, which would have made the toilet lean. I appreciated her attention to this. She texted me photos of her level on the toilet showing the tilt along with options for different shims we could use.
After the dishwasher was installed, she let me know all of the things she did to ensure it was done right as well as running a full cycle. All of this communication made me feel confident.
I was also able to give her the code to the house and she ensured it was locked up and cleaned up each day she left. Another confidence builder for me. Lastly, I appreciated her attitude. She seemed like she enjoyed what she was doing and took pride in it vs making the job sound bigger or more complicated than it was.

Hi there,
My name is Lesley-Anne Stormo. I’m a well-educated, professional woman that, like so many others, needs to “pivot” because of COVID-19. I have worked in higher education, corporate hospitality, non-profits, and most recently, as an independent business performance consultant. In light of a reduced demand for my business consulting services, I decided to embrace a vision I’ve secretly entertained for years – to share my handiness more broadly!
I have offered my “handyma’am” services to friends and family for many years, but rarely with the intention of turning it into a business. That said, pictures of my work weren’t taken with the intent of advertising or showcasing, but they give a glimpse of some of the work I’ve done.
Friends call me a “Renaissance Woman.” I love learning and trying new things, and I have a broad base of knowledge and skills. If there’s a project that you’d like done – and you’d like it to be done well – please ask. I’m transparent about what I can and can’t do, as well as about things I’ve not done but believe I’m capable of managing.
While I tend to think that advertising one’s honesty and integrity is usually cause to question it, I do think that’s how most would describe me. When it comes to your projects, your interests, resources, needs, and desires are my priority.
